Why Should I Fight my Ticket?
A traffic ticket not only affects your licence, which may result in suspension, fines, etc, but will also affect your insurance premiums. Often a minor charge can send your monthly payments skyrocketing, or have your insurance cancelled entirely.
How many Demerit Points are associated with my charge?
Each offence varies. For more information, see our Demerit Points Chart.
How does a ticket affect my insurance?
How a charge affects your insurance depends on your insurer's policy, and whether or not you have any prior charges or claims. Typically, the cleaner your past record, the more 'forgiving' your insurance company will be.
I am guilty of the offence, but cannot afford to pay. What are my options?
You can ask the court for an extension of time to pay, or to ask for a lesser fine due to circumstances preventing your from paying the full charge. Contact us to discuss whether or not this is an option.
